Comeback Stories: Nicole Vitier

After living in five different cities and becoming an expert in her industry, Nicole Vitier has returned to Puerto Rico with the desire to elevate customer service experiences of Piloto 151 on the island.

This young entrepreneur says that working in cities like Boston, Miami, Denver, Mexico City, and New York, gave her the opportunity to connect with a diverse group of people that taught her what it means to offer high-quality customer service.

Nicole’s Decision

Returning to Puerto Rico has always been a dream. “I planned it a few months before the pandemic and was waiting to complete the lease on my apartment. The main reason I made this decision is that I value family very much, and all my family is here in Puerto Rico”, said Vitier. So, she contacted El Comeback PR and went from working with WeWork to getting a job with Piloto 151.

“My experience with El Comeback was great. I learned about the initiative through Facebook, then I contacted Ana Laura [El Comeback’s Program’s Officer] and gave her my information. She made sure to match me with the right opportunities considering my experience and interests. El Comeback helps create a database that matches employment opportunities on the island with amazing talent and people who genuinely want to work,” she explained.

Vitier said that working remotely because of the pandemic allowed her to transition smoothly from New York to Puerto Rico. “At that point, normal was no longer normal. So that was the hardest part because I didn’t have as much help, but at the same time, it gave me that feeling that what I was doing was aligned to what I wanted for my life,” she said.

The Employer: Piloto 151

Currently, Vitier is proudly coordinating the Customer Success and Sales Unit at Piloto 151, a leader in the local technology ecosystem with locations in Old San Juan, Santurce, Santurce Parada 18, and Milla de Oro. Her new employer offers virtual offices, shared workspaces, private offices and suites, staffing services, and more to help entrepreneurs, developers, and professionals grow while enjoying work environments that inspire innovation, creativity, and collaboration.
